Chevrolet Aerosedan 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline 2dr Aerosedan Lowrider/Bomb Picture(s) and Description:

Up for auction is this extremely nice 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline. This Fleetline has the original numbers matching 216 motor with 91,631 showing on the odometer. I have no way to trace back if these are original miles. Judging by the condition of this bone stock Fleetline when I purchased it in October of 2009, it very well could be. This car was in an automotive museum collection on display for 14 years as a bone stock Fleetline, driven 113 miles over those years. Over the last 8 or 9 months I have added numerous accessories and have had several things completed on this car. Paint: One repaint of the original colors #373 silver gray green metallic, and #381 satin green. The paint job on this car is in excellent shape from top to bottom. The under carriage is extremely nice with no rust on this car any where. The door jams, under the hood, and the trunk are in very nice shape and have been well taken care of. This car has an original trunk mat and cardboard inserts with the original spare wheel & tire. Interior: Extremely nice Hampton Coach interior. Front and back seats are very nice Hampton fabric tan with brown and light grey stripes. Door panels, kick panels, headliner, original front floor mat, and original carpet in the back are all in excellent shape. All the window moldings as well as the dash are wood grain with all the original knobs. Glass: Windshield is excellent, back glass has minor surface scratches, back side glass is excellent, drivers door glass has a small crack in the bottom rear corner. Could easily replace this glass but it does not bother me as I like the original glass. Chrome and stainless is all very original and looks very nice for being over 60 years old. The grill is original and has never been re-chromed but has no rust (just not show chrome), the bumpers and accessories could have been re-chromed at one time (I am not sure). The bumpers shine a little more than the original grill. All of the above information is exactly how I purchased the car when it was bone stock. I will start listing the things I have completed on the car since October of 2009. I had my professional classic car mechanic complete the following: Lowered the car front and rear keeping the ride of the car very comfortable and manageable, New bushings and alignment, All new wheel cylinders and brakes, Split & block the manifold with dual 1 1/4" straight pipes, Converted electrical system to 12v (All gauges, all lights and horn work), Flushed the gas tank with new sending unit and gas gauge, rebuilt the radiator from top to bottom, Rebuilt the top end of the motor, Basically freshened up the running gear since the car had been sitting for 14 years. I have the receipt for everything that my mechanic repaired and replaced. Exterior Accessories: Fulton visor, Original fender skirts, Front & rear bumper wrap arounds, Rear bumper fulton pull down, Grill guard, Reverse light, GM Guide spotlight, Guide amber fog lights, GM locking gas cap, King Bee mirrors, Rear window wiper, GM windshield wiper bottle, GM overflow tank, Oil filter, Trunk light. Interior Accessories: Very nice original banjo steering wheel, Redhead Flashlight, Guide Amber day & night mirror, GM lighted vanity mirror (Passenger side), GM vanity mirror (Drivers side), GM tissue dispenser, Hat holder, Sherrill Compass, Fulton traffic view finder, Cat eye lighter, Glove box light. Wheels: Original 16" Artillery wheels sandblasted & powder coated in primer then painted & pinstriped original colors. Brand new BF Goodrich 600 bias ply tires. I also have the original 15" wheels that came on the car identical to the spare in the trunk (Green with silver original pinstripes). Beauty rings and Denman 560 wide whitewalls are mounted on these wheels that I just took off. The car is registered with the period correct 1947 California plates with the 48 tags and is ready to cruise. I have taken it to a few local car cruises but this car has not hit any car shows since being completed. If you would like to see the car in person I am located in Long Beach California. I am willing to work with any buyer on possible shipping, but it is the buyers responsibility to arrange and pay for this service. Please ask any questions you may have or if you would like any further detailed pictures. I will do my best to get back to you with all of your requests. Thanks for looking.
