Ford : Model A Ford Model A Model A Ford Victoria Picture(s) and Description:

This car was purchased by my father in Charlotte, N.C. in July of 1948. We restored her twice in her life thus far; the most recent was the late 70's. We've never wrecked her, and even a close inspection will expose a really nice car. The paint is chipped slightly in hinge areas such as the hood hinge, but remarkably sharp as a whole. We replaced the rear fenders with fiberglass, but I still have the originals that will go with her. I scratched the right front fender slightly as I pulled it into a tight garage once, but the car looks fantastic. The 12,627 miles listed can only be an estimate, that is since the last restoration in the 70's. It has been sheltered or garaged for the last 50 years or more. That is probably why there is little if any rust that is of concern. I've maintained it as originally as was possible with exception to paint color choice, and wheels in both wells. I added teflon cups and new pivot balls to the entire steering set, but left the pittman arm completely original. The headlamps are spring loaded and adjustable, and original inside, and out. The brakes are extreemly efficient, as the front clevis's are well forward of center, and I installed cast iron rear drums shortly before we parked her. There is an expected lack of perfection in the door upholstery as a few areas of fabric have aged. The seat material has remained suprisingly good. The engine is not running, and while salvagable, will need rebuilding. I will include a dismantled engine that I purchased a year or two ago including an original block that appears to be close to original bore. This car is a rare find in several ways; it's a Victoria; It is a truly solid Victoria. Rare in number, the Vicky's are a tough to beat model A for comfort, convenience and styling. My family of 5 has been on many trips together in the model A, and I will miss her.
