Ford : Model A Ford Model AA Stakebed Truck Picture(s) and Description:
1929 Ford AA Stakebed truck. This truck underwent a frame off restoration in 2007. The frame was cleaned and painted with black POR paint. The cab and fenders were in very good shape and the only patch panel was done to the lower part of one door. The cab was in especially good shape with only a couple of small cracks that needed welding. Glass is all new. Single stage paint looks good with only a few small blemishes. Bed has been powder coated the color of the cab with stained, spar varnished and waxed solid oak deck and sides. New wiring. Lights all work except it is missing the dash light. New interior wood and top bows all stained. All new top. Cloth was glued to masonite and put over the top bows instead of chicken wire inside. Looks a lot better I think. Truck runs out good and stops as good as an AA truck. Good engine and transmission but there is still a lot of play in the gear shift. Oil drain needs a new seal and leaks some oil. The frame vin. matches the title but the engine number is different.The horn sounds way cool and really makes the truck.I have lots of pictures of the restoration. Would make a great parade truck or for advertising your business and gets a lot of waves from people going down the road.
