Ford : Model A model A 1928 FORD MODEL A ROADSTER HOT ROD 1950 style flathead Picture(s) and Description:

FOR SALE 1928 model A roadster i started this project a few years ago by buying origional parts . my idea was that i wanted to build a true copy of a traditional hot rod , the way they would have been built in the 1950's . i have an origional 1928 certificate of title from arkansas usa . signed by the owner to the new owner of this project i will try to list and describe what i have included in this sale. certificate of title this model a is an origional steel body and subframe .the body was media blasted at the start of this project . the firewall is new, to fit the flathead engine. the body is just sitting on top of the 1932 frame . it was quickly spray painted black for protection and i wanted see if flat black was what i wanted to finish it in. THIS IS NOT a finish paint job. there is a new 1932 style instrument dash and an origional 1928 style. the frame is a 1932 origional style reproduction built by SQUEAK BELL from bakersfield california. the frame had the origional title serial numbers put on in the correct location with origional style punches . the frame is boxed and reinforced to replicate the hot rod style. the body attach anchor nuts are in the frame . the front frame rails were bobbed. the frame is also Z'd for the look i was after. the cross members front and rear are origional . there is a 1936? i believe origional steering wheel and column . the steering system is not installed in the car. the radiator and shroud are new reproductions with reinforcement rails to firewall . the headlights are origionals with custom made mounts . the leaf springs front and rear are new reproductions from speedway. the front axle is origional and was dropped the old fashioned way ,5 inches by a company in los angeles area. the rear axle is an origional 1939 banjo style that has been rebuilt with new bearings, seals and gears checked over. there is a pair of origional friction shocks the brakes are all from a 1939 truck and are the origional style hydraulic type of this year. there are all new cylinders in these brakes now . the rest of the parts for the brake system are in a box and it will need new brake shoes on all 4 wheels. the wheels are what i think , called the wide 5 . these are real cool and took awhile to find. they have been media blasted and painted red enamel. i had these wheels sent to MOON EQUIPMENT in california and had them weld on the D'UZ quick release fastners for the MOON discs. the disks are included and are brand new from MOON EQ. they are not shown in the pictures but DO go with the sale. the front tires are new , size 5.00-16 the rear tires are new , size 6.50-16 the FLATHEAD ENGINE is a 239 c.i. 59A model. i bought this as a core in los angeles and had it totally rebuilt. new pistons , rings , cam bearings, main bearings, rod bearings, timing gears, oil pump, lifters, valve guides, valves, valve springs, valve seats, all gaskets etc. the block was cleaned , magnafluxed , alighn honed, decked, bore and honed all cylinders, complete valve job, pressure tested block, rebush all connecting rods, resize all rod big ends, balanced engine, flywheel was resurfaced, the water pumps are brand new , and the cam was sent to MOON EQ. for a 3/4 race grind. this work was done by ENGINE SUPPLY in SANTA ANA CALIFORNIA . all this cost me over 4000 dollars for the engine rebuild and parts. i have the reciepts for this. i wanted a good reliable engine and paid to get it done right by a reputable company. there are 2 origional radiator fans that i was going to install the engine mounts are also new. the exhaust headers were built from tapered drive shaft tubes like the old days . the clutch is new and installed . the transmission is a 3 speed ford standard that is good. i do not believe it is a 1939 as many rodders want. the transmission is now set up for the closed style driveshaft . i have the driveshaft and outer housing tube with the project. i also have the parts to convert the transmission to an open style and have the speedway driveshaft kit for the open drive. i had the alternator converted to 12 volts and have a few spare alternators that are still 6 volt . i was going to put a two carb intake on this. i have the 2 carbs , ford 94's included. these were totally rebuilt and set up for a 2 carb intake by CRAZZIEMAN in california. i do not have the intake or aluminum heads for the engine. the starter is 6 volt and i was going to leave it that way. i have an aluminum DUVALL style windsheild frame set included. i was going to install this but decided i liked the the set up on the car as it is now. all the parts i bought for this project are included in the sale. i have many of the reciepts but not all . the work was started and done by a very talented guy that knew how to do it as was done many years ago. he was also located in los angeles area where the whole hot rod craze seemed to have started. this can be a period perfect time capsule as we have seen in so many magazines and books . i will never recoupe what i have spent but i do have my limits and set a reasonable reserve . the project is located in my dry heated hanger in las vegas nevada. this will need to be picked up but i will help and can be containerized for oversea shipping. hope it goes to a well deserving individual that knows what he is getting.
