Ford

I have been driving this car for the last four years and it has been very reliable. It always starts on the first turn and never overheats. The engine ( 1953 8BA flathead V8) was completely rebuilt 4 years ago. The exterior is rough around the edges but it is built on a solid foundation and has has been a good driver for several thousand miles. I built this RPU myself and can answer any questions you may have, BODY...... The cowl is Dodge and the rest of the body is made from various Model A panels. Bed is Model T and the grille is 1936 De Soto Airflow' CHASSIS...... Frame is Model A for the front half, back half is fabricated from 3x2 tubing. Front axle and brakes are 40 Ford with split wishbones. Spring is moved behind axle and mounted suicide style.Shocks are early Ford lever shocks. Cowl steering incorporates 70's VW van steering box. Rear suspension is Jag" coil overs, radius rods made from split wishbone from heavy truck, panhard bar. ENGINE, TRANS', REAREND.......1953 8BA Flathead V8 comlpletely rebuilt 4 years ago. H&H mild cam, adjustable lifters, dual carb Offenhauser intake with Holley 94 carbs, Otherwise stock. 3 speed manual tranny with floorshift. 8" Ford rearend , not sure exact ratio but they are tall gears good for going down the hiway. MISC'...... 50 Ford radiator, 68 Mustang gas tank,16" Ford wheels front. 15" Dodge wheels rear, hand throttle for long drives, electric fuel pump, small alternator mounted to rearend, electric fan, seat belts, custom rear bumper with 39 Ford teardrop tail lights, custom aluminum hood side panels (no top).
