The “Licorice Streak Special” is a high quality aluminum bodied roadster reminiscent of the race cars of years past, with a touch of European feel. Built by non other than, Moal Coachbuilders and commissioned by Tim Allen. ***Featured on the cover of the 2010 Hot Rod Calendar!*** This car has been in Tim Allen's personal collection over the last 10 years and is in immaculate concourse condition. This “One-Off' track nose is ready to continue the car show circuit and win the most coveted awards or to be displayed as the centerpiece of a private collection! If you were to commission Moal Coachbuilders to build a vehicle of this caliber it would run between $450,000.00 to $500,000.00 today. If you have been concidering a show stopping, top of the line car to add to your collection you would be hard pressed to find a finer example of quality, craftsmanship, heritage, and celebrity appeal! Moal Coachbuilders are world renown custom “one- off” fabricators of some of the worlds most desired Hot Rods. Tim Allen contacted Steve Moal and wanted a custom Tracknose roadster and what arrived was the “Licorice Streak Special”. The car was unveiled at the prestigious 50th Anniversary Grand National Roadster Show. This is one of the most prestigious Hot Rods currently on the market and is titled as a 1932 Ford! Every inch of this Roadster is a work of art. It is full of timeless accents including Art Deco inspired brass side moldings, trunk handle and headlamp trim made by Takayuki “Kaki” Kakizaki. Upon closer inspection, one will notice the amazing aluminum body craftsmanship all the way down the to the rear brake air intake. Not one penny was spared in this build - not one corner was cut, even the dark green leather seats feature an all aluminum core. The interior is rounded out with mohair carpeting, custom-made dash with brass trim and gauges with Tim's trademark “RRR” logo.
