-IF YOU HAVE " 0, or no record of eBay transactions " YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELLED IMMEDIATELY UNLESS I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY MESSAGING THEN PERSONAL PHONE CALL!!- Up for auction was a barn found, original N.C. titled, 1931 Ford Model A truck, then added during build, a 1940's FORD truck cab as a kustom hot / rat rod rolling chassis. This 1931 Ford Model A truck was sitting in solitude, rotting, and was rescued over 3 years ago. The only thing that was left that wasn't total loss of original sheetmetal, was the dash. Thats why the cab has been replaced with a later model. ( NO ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, DRIVESHAFT, SHIFTER OR ELECTRONICS INCLUDED!!! ), already wired, balanced, and set up for FORD 385 SERIES BIG BLOCK ( 429-460 ) and FORD C6 TRANSMISSION. Cab ( flat satin black now ) is from a post WWII era ('44-'46) 2.5 ton FORD military truck, 4" in. section with a monster east coast style 18" in. channel, Model A frame ( oriental blue candy, over silver base, with silver flake ) has been gusseted and boxed with 3/16" steel, extended 18" and front end stretched to yield a 133.5" wheelbase instead of the Model A's stock 103" wheelbase giving more straight line stability, floor pans and bed all made with .120" steel sheet for a little weight on the rear tires. This chassis was re-engineered for handling a 500+ horsepower big block with the addition of multiple crossmembers, and has yet to show any signs from stress anywhere throughout, its super strong but provides enough flex to put the power to the pavement. ( Truck runs 1/8th mile, mid to hi 6's on street tires!! ) Little spared when it came to safety on this build. A bit cramped up on the inside from the overkill channel but drives true as true can be down the dragstrip and highway without suffering all ride quality. ( Im 6ft and 220 and fit in with some room to spare. Plenty room for the passenger though!! ) CAN SEE VIDEOS ON: YOUTUBE.COM search: BUTTSCHOPSHOP Paint needs freshening up, but its not bad, couple spots on the lower cowl from speed bumps, other than that its solid. Included are as follows: Original nickle plated '31 Ford Model A grille shell, Northern aluminum radiator ( upper right top hose, lower left bottom - FORD style ), custom redesigned suicide front end built from '40 FORD split wishbones, '40 FORD hydraulic drum brakes, '40 FORD steering box and modified drag link, brand new FORD Model A front buggy spring ( plus a leaf for big block weight ), front wheels are stock 15" x 6.5" FORD truck steelies wrapped in Bridgestone Turanza LS-T pinstripe whitewalls, front 3gal, rear 10ga. spun aluminum gas tanks. COMPETITION ENGINEERING ladder bars with safety straps, COMP. ENG. rear adjustable height/dampening drag shocks with coilover springs, adjustable panhard bar, FORD 9in 3.73:1 gears, STRANGE 31-spline spool, 31-spline SUPERIOR hardened axles, rear wheels are 15" x 10" Wheel Vintiques steelies wrapped in Mickey Thompson I-Tread N50-15's blackwalls, LAKEWOOD driveshaft safety hoop, manual hydraulic master cylinder, WILWOOD brake proportioning valve, WILWOOD residual valves, chrome peep mirror, taillight and bracket, lexan front windshield, acrylic rear window, passenger side window is still intact, drivers side is and has been MIA., To the best of an old local enthusiast and vintage FORD collector, the truck cab is in the post war 1944 - '46 era.( olive drab green with white body line inserts, white handles, with a big white star in the center of the doors, once we sanded through the layers of paint... ), and from the original frame vin numbers the frame was made in October of 1931. Truck bed was all hand fabbed from 1/8th inch steel for weight and designed to semi-replicate the narrow Model A bed to get the look and stance just right for what we were after. Its all FORD from front hub to rear hub!! FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE ME WITH ANY OTHER QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS AUCTION BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING OR PICK UP OF THIS VEHICLE!!!
