This charming original Deuce sedan has only had four owners in its life and has always been well cared for. This is not a restored car put together from many different parts. It is a nice original car that has had repairs and restoration as needed throughout the years. This car is made up of an all original Henry Ford steel body, fenders, and grill. It features its original early 20 fin louvered hood. The running boards are correct style but are reproduction pieces. This car was never rusty or wrecked so there is no rust repair, major bondo, etc. The body was re-painted the correct Washington Blue 50+ years ago. While the paint looks very nice and is free from major scratches or dents you can see some character marks. The paint has some thin spots from waxing over the years. This only adds to the cars charm and authentic feel. The moldings, fenders, and running boards are painted the correct black with the stripping and wheels the correct Tacoma Cream. The car retains its original 1932 Flathead V8. The '32 block was a one year only block and this is the correct and original block. Other correct items include the intake manifold, distributor, fuel pump, high compression "Rocky Mountain" heads, exhaust manifolds, and Detroit Luber single barrel carburetor. Again this is not stuff that was acquired for this car it is all its original equipment. The engine was fully rebuilt at about 70k miles by a professional engine builder. It was balanced and upgraded with some better performing internal parts. An invoice with the work done to the motor is included with the photos below. His name and contact information will be given to the winner of the auction. This motor runs very well, it is cold blooded but once it warms up and smoothes out it is a dream to drive. Freeway speeds (60-65) are not a problem in this car and it does not over heat, even in our 100+ degree Sacramento weather. The original 3 speed manual transmission is very smooth when shifting through the gears. It does not grind and no double clutching is required. The car's rear end was replaced with a 3:73 geared unit. The original 4:11 rear end comes with the sale but keep in mind it is the whole rear axle if you are going to have it shipped. This car handles very well. The original steering is smooth and tight with no bump steer or death wobble. The stock mechanical brakes are in good working order and the car stops as well as any '32 could be expected to. The original interior is very nice. This interior is believed to be original or replaced with NOS interior some time ago. There is a hole in the headliner (see pics) but other than that this interior is as good as looks in the pictures. All of the glass throughout the car is in good condition and free of cracks or chips. All windows operate as they should. Chrome throughout the car is in very good condition. The bumpers are straight and shiny. The car retains its original 18 inch wire wheels at all four corners, plus a spare. They are wrapped in Firestone 18/5.50 gum dipped tires. The car also comes with 5 gently used wide white wall tires. The car sports original matching Folsom State Prison made yellow and black California license plates. Overall, this is very original car that is driven and has some character. While it is not concourse perfect it is very nice. Feel free to email any questions and check out the numerous pics we have up for your viewing pleasure. A clear California title is on hand and the car is free of liens or back fees. It is currently registered in California. The odometer reads 78,275 and it is believed to be the actual mileage.
