We encourage anyone to come out and see the car in person in our climate controlled showroom. ? Up for bid is a fresh fully-restored 1965 Mustang fastback. Miles are believed to be actual. The odometer reads 1005. The previous owner stated the mileage to be 101,005. It is a true 4 speed A code car (289 4 barrel). Exterior: - Sikkens urethane base coat clear coat in correct vintage burgundy The car was painted by a new Ford Dealer in an infrared booth. We wet-sanded and buffed the entire car -Most of the exterior trim is new including emblems, grill, windshield moldings, door handles, etc. The bumpers have also been replaced recently. - New magnum 500 wheels with new tires Interior: - The interior is mostly original and in great shape. We replaced the front seat covers and added new trim - We dyed the carpet to keep it original and it shows little wear - New original style floormats - Window whiskers - New Trunk Mat - New gas tank - New Magnum 500 with new tire for spare Drive Train: - The engine is ‘93 Cobra motor remanufactured by Ford. We purchased the engine from Ford as a fresh long block. It has the Cobra cam, GT-40 heads and Cobra roller rockers. - We added a new Edelbrock RPM intake, new Edelbrock Carb, new Digital ignition, new original style HI-PO exhaust manifolds - New Shock towers (we replaced them because of dents and not because of rust) - New exhaust - New engine harness wiring - Holley electric fuel pump - New stainless steel braided fuel line - New power front disc brakes - New battery and regulator - New u-joints - New brake lines - New Cobra clutch - New leaf springs - New HI-PO style valve covers and air cleaner When we got this vehicle it had just been painted. We went through everything else on the car. We disassembled every part of the front suspension and steering. We either replaced it or sandblasted it to bare steel and repainted it in the correct color. The underside of the car looks great. Everything was taken out of the undercarriage and sandblasted or replaced. The floors are very solid and are lightly undercoated. The car has only been a few miles to be test driven. We took out every squeak and wind whistle we could find. We kept all our receipts for the restoration. There has been so much done to the car we couldn’t list it all. This car is exceptional. We actually got carried away restoring the car. We got to a point where we decided everything had to look perfect, we spent 8 months on the restoration. You can bid with confidence on this car.
