Plymouth : Road Runner 1969 1/2 Road Runner A12 M-Code Triple Blue Picture(s) and Description:

Plymouth

I am relisting my A12 car, as Ebay cancelled my last auction since I listed another Road Runner with this one as a "package deal". I will relist the 383 car later. I am going to make this short, so please call if you are interested! This M-Code Road Runner is one of the 1,412 original Six Barrel cars produced in late 1969. It is believed to be the only Triple Blue car known to exist. In talking to some of the participants at the A12 Reunion at the Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle last year, it was discovered that there were very blue cars built and few A12 owners had ever seen a blue/blue car. This car is a very nice driver that wins shows and is a hit anywhere it goes. It was restored in the early '90's and retains it's original sheetmetal. The lower 1/4's were repaired at that time. The floor and trunk pans are original and flawless. Shortly after purchasing the car, I removed the interior in hopes of finding a build sheet, but with no luck. It was then that I discovered how great and rust free the floors were. The paint is very nice...probably an 8 out of 10. The hood is the original that the car came with. The interior is very nice with no rips, tears or cracks. The woodgrain steering wheel was an expensive option in 1969, and it is perfect with no cracks. The instrument panel is clear with no cracks. The dash cluster was restored. The motor is a replacement, not numbers matching. The carbs, intake and exhaust manifolds are original. The hemi radiator is original (054). The 727 T/F transmission shifts firmly as it should. The 4:10 Dana rear was rebuilt two years ago. There are no whines or moans. This car is very quick. It runs, drives, steers and stops great. The 11" drums stop this car very well. The brakes were completely gone through two years ago. The fender tag matches the VIN tag and all other body stampings. Real Six Barrel/Six Pack cars have increased in value between 15 and 20% in the last four months, according to NADA. In an article in this month's (Feb 2010) Auto Trader Classic Cars, there is an article on A12 cars. Car show/sale promoter Bob Ashton specializes in '68-'71 B-Body Mopars. He states that "Hemi and Six Pack cars are still strong." He further states that Six Barrel cars are especially still strong, despite the fact that Mopar prices probably hit a bottom, but are now starting to climb again. If you watched Barrett Jackson two weeks ago, you saw two A12 cars go for good money. One sold for in the mid '90's and the other for 110K. I am not looking for BJ money. We are selling our cars to buy land. I will take a partial trade for a '67-70 B-Body Project or a '70-'71 E-Body project....motor and trans does not matter. Please only bid if you are serious. No tire kickers or scammers please. No telemarketers, telling me how you can sell my car. I want a $2000 deposit within 3 days of the auction's end and full payment with in 10 days or at pick up. Please call Andy at (706) 836-4410 with questions or offers.
